PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an olefinic polymer with which a design of a material is flexibly achieved, which does not adversely affect mechanical and physical properties and so on, and which has excellent chemical stability, and to provide a method of manufacturing the same. SOLUTION: The branched olefinic polymer comprises an olefinic chain (A) and an olefinic chain (B), wherein one or more (B) are bonded to sites on one (A) except for both terminals of the (A) via carbon-carbon bonds, wherein the ratio of an elastic modulus at 50°C based on solid state viscoelastic measurement to that at 100°C is≥1.0 and <3.0. The polymer is manufactured by the reaction between a group (PO-X) composed of an olefinic chain containing a halogen atom (X) and a group (PO'-M) composed of an olefinic chain containing a metal atom (M) on the terminal site.
