<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device capable of generating stereo sounds and improving low-pitch sound quality without reducing display quality of video image on a display section. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A liquid crystal television set 1 (display device) includes: a diaphragm 10 which is disposed in front of a liquid crystal module 20 for displaying a video image, configured to transmit therethrough the video image displayed on the liquid crystal module 20 and configured to be vibrated; exciters 33 and 34 disposed at the side of an arrow X1 direction and an arrow X2 direction in a horizontal direction of the diaphragm 10 and generating sounds from the diaphragm 10 by transferring vibration to the diaphragm 10; and a fixing member 40 disposed outside an area, within which a video image displayed, of the liquid crystal module 20 and fixing the diaphragm 10 to the vicinity of the center in the horizontal direction.
