<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fulling machine enabling a fabric to be fully shrunk without damaging the fabric even when the speed of conveying the fabric is high. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The fulling machine 1 functioning to shrink a clothing fabric 2 prior to undergoing cutting has a far-infrared heater 30 for heating the fabric 2 after humidified. In this fulling machine 1, owing to the action of far-infrared rays emitted from the far-infrared heater 30, both the surface and the inside of the fabric 2 can be heated nearly simultaneously, enabling the fabric 2 to be heated up to its inside in a short time.
