The device has an elastic cylindrical shaped element (32) with two ends (33, 34). The element comprises a narrow through hole (36), where the hole runs in longitudinal direction from the end (33) to the end (34). The hole is adapted for feeding neochordae filament (40). The bore hole is connected with outer surface of the element by a narrow inlet. A central borehole (38) runs in longitudinal direction to the element from the end (33) to the end (34). Diameter of a central channel corresponds to diameter of the element. An independent claim is also included for a method for correcting insufficiency of mitral valve between a left atrium and a left ventricle of heart.
