<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus and an image forming method which can prevent an image disturbance due to movement of a color material even if an ink is jetted in drops on a recording medium. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus 100 includes a paper feeding part 102 for transporting the recording medium 114, a wax coating part 104 for coating the recording medium 114 with a wax, a treatment-liquid supplying part 106 for coating the recording medium 114 having a treatment-liquid drying unit 138 with an agglomeration treatment agent, an ink head 140 for jetting the ink in drops which contains, by 10-90 wt.%, a water-soluble high boiling-point organic solvent of the SP value of 30 or below, toward the top of the recording medium 114, a solvent drying unit 142a, 142b, and a heat fixing unit 160. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
