<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a POS register capable of outputting cooking instructions to a kitchen according to the timing to serve a dish to a customer. <P>SOLUTION: The POS register comprises: a product master setting table 121 for registering all dishes as products, wherein a hold number representing a sequential order of cooking instructions for each dish in a course menu is registered for every dish; and a fire button 161 for performing cooking instruction. When the fire button 161 is depressed upon receiving an order for a course menu, cooking instructions for the dish with cooking instructions therefor yet to be outputted while with the earliest hold number among the dishes constituting the course menu are outputted to a kitchen printer 2 in a kitchen 200. When the fire button 161 is depressed while either one dish is selected or a numerical value corresponding to the hold number is inputted, cooking instructions for the respectively applicable dishes are outputted.
