<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photosensitive composition allowing easy regulation of a birefringence index of a phase difference control regulation layer without using a different liquid crystal for easily forming the phase difference control regulation layer meeting a liquid crystal display device with a different cell gap, though conventionally, a liquid crystal with a desired birefringence index cannot be always obtained and a phase difference control regulation layer meeting a liquid crystal display device with a different cell gap cannot be formed easily when adjustment of the birefringence index of the phase difference control regulation layer according to the difference of the cell gap in the liquid display device is necessary, and for changing the birefringence index of the phase difference control regulation layer, use of a different liquid crystal is required. <P>SOLUTION: The photosensitive composition comprises a liquid crystal material having a polymerizable functional group, a polymerization initiator, and an isocyanuric acid and/or an isocyanuric acid derivative as a birefringence modifier, and the birefringence modifier is contained in an unreacted state with the liquid crystal material. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
