<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor device capable of effectively reducing current consumption when a leakage current value varies. <P>SOLUTION: The semiconductor device equipped with a switch comprising a transistor between a first power supply line and a second power supply line, and a semiconductor circuit between the second power supply line and a third power supply line includes a potential detector for measuring a potential difference between the second and third power supply lines, a transition time measurement device for measuring a time interval until the potential difference reaches a predetermined value from an initial value, a memory element for storing a first value according to the time interval measured by the transition time measurement device, a comparator for comparing the first value stored in the memory element with a second value for specifying a power supply suspension period of the semiconductor circuit, and a control circuit for selecting whether an operation is to be carried out or not for turning OFF the switch depending on a dimensional relation between the first and second values indicated by the comparison result of the comparator. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
