<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a housing type pipe joint for improving working efficiency, by easily joining two pipes in an alignment state, without axial dislocation and an inclination, without causing meandering when internal pressure is applied, by restraining flexibility. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In this housing type pipe joint, a pair of housings 20 and 20 put via packing 24 are put on the outer periphery between mutual circumferential groves 28 and 29 of pipe end parts 26a and 27a of the joining pipes 26 and 27, and mutually opposed flanges 20d and 20d of the housings 20 and 20 are fastened by a bolt 21 and a nut 22. A connecting annular body 25 is fitted in over an inner peripheral surface of the pipe end part 26a of one pipe 26 and an inner peripheral surface of the pipe end part 27a of the other pipe 27.
