PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a broadcast receiver in which a video image of a desired video signal selected by a user is presented in an easy-to-view format. SOLUTION: In a multiple screen display state where the images of video signals of different broadcasts outputted by a receiving means, which receives a plurality of different broadcasts and outputs respective video signals and audio signals, are being displayed on a main screen and sub screens provided within a display area of the relevant main screen, respectively, when a sub-screen is designated by a designation means for designating either the main screen or any one among the sub screens, a broadcast receiver controls for switching video image being displayed on the relevant sub screen to the main screen and to display the video image.
