PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact heat exchanger easily assembled using fewer components, and disposing a pair of inlet/outlet pipes on one side of a core. SOLUTION: A casing 4 is composed of a casing main body 2 and a casing bottom cover 3, the core 6 composed of a layered product of tubes 5 is disposed in the casing 4, and a return duct 7 is disposed between the core 6 and the casing bottom cover 3 through a partitioning plate 8.
