PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact compressor capable of inexpensively compressing and recovering metal cutting chips and also efficiently recovering oils stuck to the metal cutting chips. SOLUTION: The compressor comprises: a compression chamber 51 storing metal cutting chips 71; a shutter 55 exhausting metal cutting lumps 72 from the compression chamber 51; and a compression piston 53 compressing the metal cutting chips 71 collected in the compression chamber 51 in a state where the shutter 55 is shuttered, and, after compression by the compression piston 53, the compressed metal cutting lumps 72 are exhausted by the pressing operation of the compression piston 53. At this time, the bottom face part of the compression chamber 51 is tilted to the lower part toward the exhaust direction, and further, a tilting carrier passage 64 exhausting the exhausted metal cutting lumps 72 to the oblique upper part is provided. Then, the angle between the tilting carrier passage 64 and a mounting stand 63 in front of the shutter 55 is made steep, thus the countercurrent of the metal cutting lumps 72 from the tilting carrier passage 64 is prevented.
