<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ST switch abnormality detection device capable of detecting an ON abnormality of the ST switch even while an engine is operated. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In a vehicle system, when the ST switch is turned ON for a first period when an IG switch is ON, an engine is started. In the ST switch abnormality detection device of the vehicle system, the ST switch is not turned ON for a second period from the time when the ST switch is turned ON for the first period to the time when the IG switch is turned OFF. The ST switch abnormality detection device includes an abnormality determination means for determining that the ON abnormality is generated on the ST switch when the ON of the ST switch is detected for the second period.
