[Class 140] An antiseptic fireproofing composition for treating wood, paper and fabrics, consists of a metal phosphate or metal ammonium phosphate, a borate and a chloride in aqueous or aqueous ammoniacal solution. An aqueous solution leaving soluble products in the treated materials includes dibasic sodium phosphate, sodium tetraborate and ammonium chloride, whereas insoluble products are formed from a solution in aqueous ammonia of dibasic sodium phosphate, sodium tetraborate or zinc borate and zinc chloride. |
