<p>A tan through material (10) formed by knitting polybutylene terephthalate in a pattern to provide diamond shape openings (12) which when the material (10) is relaxed, are significantly longer in a vertical direction than in a horizontal direction. When stretched the openings (12) may become substantially the same length in both the vertical and horizontal directions. The material (10) can be used to produce an article of clothing such as a swimming trunk, with the material when in a relaxed condition having the longer openings extending in a vertical direction.</p> |
