The present invention relates to a solid pharmaceutical composition comprising (a) candesartan or a salt, solvate or ester thereof, (b) a polymeric agent comprising a copolymer of polyvinyl alcohol and polyethylene glycol, and (c) optionally at least one other excipient as well as a process for preparing the composition.
