The fuel supplying device comprises an atomizing nozzle (51) for injecting the fuel directly into the mixing chamber. The atomizing nozzle is coaxially arranged: to the cylindrical mixing chamber; at an axial face of the mixing chamber; and for axial injection of the fuel. The reformer for generating fuel gas contained in hydrogen gas for a gas cell system, comprises a device (17) for supplying a liquid fuel to the reformer, a device (11) for supplying air to the reformer, and a mixing chamber (40) for mixing of fuel and air brought into the mixing chamber. The fuel supplying device comprises an atomizing nozzle (51) for injecting the fuel directly into the mixing chamber. The atomizing nozzle is coaxially arranged: to the cylindrical mixing chamber; at an axial face of the mixing chamber; and for axial injection of the fuel. The mixing chamber is separated by an intermediate base (45) from an antechamber (44), which contains a base opening (55). The atomizing nozzle projects into the base opening through the antechamber. A gas is supplyable to the antechamber over a connection. An annular gap is formed between the atomizing nozzle or a nozzle holder and an edge of the base opening and through which the gas of the antechamber flows to the mixing chamber. The atomizing nozzle or the nozzle holder locks with the intermediate base in an axially flush manner. The annular gap has a cross section tapering in the direction of flow of the gas. The atomizing nozzle or the nozzle holder comprises a conical outer contour. The mixing chamber is separated from an annular space by a cylindrical wall, where the annular space contains wall openings arranged in circumferential direction. The gas is supplied to the annular space over another connection, and flows through the wall openings to the mixing chamber. The intermediate base separates the antechamber from the annular space. An ignition device and a temperature sensor are attached to the mixing chamber. The mixing chamber borders on a reactor, which comprises a catalyst. The atomizing nozzle is arranged as inner-mixing or outer-mixing two-component nozzle, where one component is formed for the fuel and the other is formed for a gas. The atomizing nozzle is arranged as rotational atomizing nozzle or as ultrasonic atomizing nozzle. An independent claim is included for a gas cell system in a vehicle.
