<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly determine a cause of an event when an event seemed to be a failure is generated in an elevator. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The elevator system includes an operation recording device 15 recorded with a history of operation information regarding the operation state of a car 4; an elevator operation control device 3 for controlling the operation of the car and recording the operation information regarding the operation state of the car on the operation recording device; and an event cause analyzer 17 inputted with a time band when the event is generated inputted by an operator and determining the cause of the event from the inputted time band and the history of the operation information recorded on the operation recording device.
