The present invention provides an adhesive composition which does not contain an organic solvent for use in a dry laminate process for manufacturing artificial leather. The dry laminate adhesive composition comprises (A) a water-borne polyurethane resin, (B) a cross linking agent, and (C) a thickener, wherein the water-borne polyurethane resin (A) has a softening temperature of less than 80 DEG C and a viscosity of the melt at 80 DEG C of less than 10<5> Pa . s, and wherein a softening temperature of a cured product obtained after curing a reaction product between the water-borne polyurethane resin (A) and the crosslinking agent (B) is higher than 120 DEG C.
