<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-sized inexpensive distance measuring device capable of measuring accurately distance information. <P>SOLUTION: This distance measuring device is equipped with an image sensor camera 1, an image capture board 2, a memory 3 for preserving image data, an image processing part 4 for calculating distance information to an object from the image data preserved in the memory 3, and a display monitor 5 for displaying the distance information calculated by the image processing part 4. The image processing part 4 comprises a reconstitution part 4a, a brightness information calculation part 4b, a distance information calculation part 4c, and a mask part 4d.
