<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming method capable of preventing an image turbulence caused by movement of a coloring material even when ink is impacted on a recording medium, and to provide an image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming method comprises a process of applying a flocculation processing liquid comprising 10-90% of a water-soluble high boiling point organic solvent with an SP value of ≤30 onto the recording medium, a process of starting drying of the flocculation processing liquid applied on the recording medium within 5 seconds after the process of applying the flocculation processing liquid, a process of impacting an ink comprising 10-90% of the water-soluble high boiling point organic solvent with an SP value of ≤30 in accordance with an image signal to overlap on the flocculation processing liquid applied on the recording medium, and a process of removing water included in the solvent of the ink on the recording medium to ≤4 g/m<SP>2</SP>in terms of the applied amount. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
