<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a battery charge and a motor drive at the same time by giving and receiving power between a capacitor and a battery through a power converter and a motor, and to charge the battery without generating rotational torque by utilizing a stator winding of the motor as a reactor. <P>SOLUTION: Alternating current power is supplied by the power converter 30 connecting the capacitor 14 to a direct-current side, then, the motor 50 connecting the battery 60 between a neutral point 51 and one direct-current bus-bar of the power converter 30, other power converter 20 connecting the capacitor 14 to the direct-current side and connecting alternating-current power supply 10 to an alternating-current side and the motor 40 to be connected to the power converter 20 through a switch 12 are provided, the neutral points of the motors 40 and 50 are commonly connected, direct-current power is stored in the capacitor 14 by making a rectifier operation of the power converter 20, and the stator winding of the motor 50 is operated as a step-down reactor by controlling so as to output a zero voltage vector to the power converter 30.
