PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a visual processing device that can execute high-performance contrast adjustment on inputted image signals and that is free from a shift in timing of outputting the image signals to be outputted.

SOLUTION: The visual processing device includes: a gain-type visual processing unit 70 for outputting a first gain signal having predetermined gain characteristics with respect to the inputted image signals; and a correction unit 9 for correcting the inputted image signals based on the first gain signal.
