<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To carry out control from a viewpoint of suppressing the total electric power amount or the like consumed by an illumination system. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The illumination system includes a plurality of control terminals 1-1 to 1-n to control an illuminated state of illumination loads 2-1 to 2-n, and the main operation board. The main operation board has section information in which the electric power amount is divided into a plurality of power amounts by a plurality of threshold values, a table 11 for control in which illuminated state information to be achieved by the respective control terminals within a range of the respective section information is memorized, and an illuminated state control means 12 in which by obtaining the electric power amount of a monitored object, the section information is detected based on this electric power amount, and by obtaining the illuminated state information to be achieved by the respective control terminals from the table 11 for control based on the detected section information, the illuminated state is achieved by transmitting a control signal to the corresponding control terminals based on this illuminated state information.
