PROCESS FOR EXTRACTING ACTIVE COMPONENTS FROM LIPPIA POLYSTACHYA AND EXTRACT THUS OBTAINED

The process for extracting active principles with antioxidant activity in particular polyphenols provides for extracting these principles from the leaves of the vegetable species of the Lippia polystachya of the family of the verbenaceae. The leaves are initially macerated in a solvent and subsequently extracted. Then a concentrated extract is separated to be mixed with water and maltodestrine in a given quantitative ratio. Finally the mixture is dried to obtain a final extract with high yield in active principles.
