The invention relates to a heat storage element for use in a combustion chamber in a heating unit having a burner, which ends in the combustion chamber and supplies a flame with fuel by way of a nozzle, wherein the heat storage element has a through-hole, has a gap at the top in the perforated wall and is made of a heat-resistant material, wherein the heat storage element has a uniform circumference, such as in a hexagon shape, and wherein the through-hole is disposed centrally. The invention solves the problem of developing a heat storage element such that a uniform heat distribution is achieved for a given arrangement of heat storage element, and that the heat storage elements are heated more quickly in such an arrangement. |
