<p>Provided are an engine adapted so that sliding surfaces between a cylinder and a piston are less likely to seize on each other and the proportion of lubricating oil in mixed fuel can be reduced, and a piston capable of actively supplying lubricating oil to sliding surfaces between a cylinder or a cylinder liner and the piston. An engine in which mixed gas having lubricating oil mixed therein is supplied to a combustion chamber has supply means for supplying the mixed gas to space between the inner wall of a cylinder or a cylinder liner and a tube section (portion between piston rings and/or the piston rings) of the piston.
