PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing and refining polar health functional components such as γ oryzanol, tocopherol or polyphenol by a practically utilizable, simple and effective means, and to provide an effectively utilizable raw material containing the health functional components produced by the method.

SOLUTION: The dry defatted cereal bran in which polar health functional components such as γ oryzanol, tocopherol or polyphenol are adsorbed and concentrated is produced by adsorbing an extract extracted from a raw material containing the polar health functional components such as γ oryzanol, tocopherol or polyphenol via an organic solvent, using the dry defatted cereal bran as an adsorption carrier. The dry defatted cereal bran or the concentrated substance comprising the health functional components produced by the method has no limitation in using as a material and is usable in a wide range.
