<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To deal with the inability of a driver to look carefully at a navigation window on a monitor 23 of a car navigation system 10 in a predetermined driving condition. <P>SOLUTION: In a period of low degree of composure to drive, a driver can take only a short time to look carefully at a navigation window. As an index of the degree of composure to drive, the speed of a car is detected in S36, for example. In S37, the character size according to the speed of the car is computed. The higher the speed of the car is, the larger the character size becomes.
