<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a constant velocity universal joint having excellent workability and durability without providing a hooking portion which damages a cage in the outer ring inner diameter surface even when continuing rotation in the case where large torque is applied at a large operating angle. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In an outer diameter surface 24 between the track groove of the inner joint member, an intermediate portion between the track groove is made to be a contact portion 24a contacting the inner diameter surface 28b of the cage 28, and the track groove side is made to be a non-contact portion 24b forming a gap between the inner diameter surface 28b of the cage 28.
