<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a curable composition having decreased contamination property on a liquid crystal, having sufficient curability even in a part shadowed by wiring lines or the like, and adaptive to a narrower frame. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The curable composition contains (A) a (meth)acrylate compound, (B) an organic acid dihydrazide compound, and (C) a photo-radical polymerization initiator having an oxime ester structure. A liquid crystal display element 1 has a structure of interposing a spacer 18 and holding a liquid crystal 22 with a liquid crystal sealing agent between two glass substrates 10 provided with transparent electrodes 14, alignment layers 12 and color filters 16.
