PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To compensate distortion of an amplifier highly accurately by a quick response even when input signal power rapidly changes in a system using an OFDM modulation system, especially a mobile WiMAX system. SOLUTION: Distortion compensation processing is executed by adding pseudo data to the free subcarrier of transmission data so that an OFDM symbol to be transmitted becomes a set value or a power difference between adjacent OFDM symbols becomes a set value or less in a pseudo data addition part 140A, and the fluctuation amount of distortion components generated in a power amplifier 133 is minimized to accelerate the convergence of the distortion compensation. Further, by controlling the start/stop of a pseudo data addition part operation, the transmission power of a transmission amplifier is controlled and power consumption is reduced.
