<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measuring method of a specific antibody in blood characterized by enabling suppression of the background signal caused by nonspecific binding of serum protein and a secondary antibody. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In the measuring method of the specific antibody in blood, including a process for bringing a target protein on a solid phase into contact with the serum which originates from an animal to bond an antibody in the serum to the target protein, the serum originating from an animal different from the animal from which the serum originates is used as a blocking agent.
