<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To output voice of the other party from a speaker constantly at most appropriate volume. Ž<P>SOLUTION: When there is a call and a handset is off-hooked, speech starts (steps S1 and S2). When the volume level of the other party which is detected by a level detector is high, the amplifier gain becomes small (steps S3 and S4). When the volume level of the other party which is detected by the level detector is medium, the amplifier gain becomes medium (steps S5 and S6).
