<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing an electrophoretic display device superior in flatness. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing an electrophoretic display device includes: a step of sticking an electrophoretic sheet including at least a counter substrate and an electrophoretic layer with an element substrate to each other through an adhesive in a state of bending in a prescribed direction; a step of thermally bonding the electrophoretic sheet and the element substrate in the state of bending in the prescribed direction; and a step of releasing them from the state of bending in the prescribed state and stopping heating.
