<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water purification device for a fuel cell system, extending the life of a water purification member of a recovered water purifier. <P>SOLUTION: This water purification device for a fuel cell system includes: a water channel 1 connecting an evaporation part 40 supplying steam to a reformer 4 of the fuel cell system with a tap water source; a tap water purifier 2 arranged in the water channel 1 for purifying the tap water; and a recovered water purifier 3 arranged in series to the tap water purifier 2 in the water channel 1, and purifying recovered water obtained by recovering condensed water produced in the fuel cell system. The tap water purifier 2 is arranged on the upstream side of the recovered water purifier 3, and the recovered water purifier is arranged on the downstream side of the tap water purifier 2.
