<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ignition system for an internal combustion which supplies a high voltage to a sparking plug of the internal combustion in a motor vehicle, etc. to generate a spark discharge. <P>SOLUTION: This ignition system for the internal combustion is constituted of: at least a coil assembly in which a primary coil and a secondary coil are wound on a primary bobbin and a secondary bobbin; and an insulating case for accommodating at least a part of the coil assembly and a center iron core. The center iron core has a length which penetrates the insulating case and protrudes outside. The length of the center iron core is 2.5 times to 3.5 times a winding width of the primary coil and a winding width of the secondary coil is 0.8 times to 0.95 times the winding width of the primary coil. The above relationship holds true in the length of the center iron core and lengths of the primary coil and the secondary coil, whereby a spark caused by the high voltage generating in the secondary coil generates efficiently by the sparking plug. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
