摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device of a torque converter 6, immediately bringing the operating point of an engine 9 to, for example, a medium speed rotation area and the vicinity of the maximum torque of the engine 9 called a torque spot area when an increase in driving force of a vehicle is required, and sufficiently improving the power performance of the vehicle. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This control device includes a capacity coefficient control means 138 changing a capacity coefficient C so that when the increase in the driving force of the vehicle is required, a predetermined target torque ratio t* for fulfilling a requirement to increase the driving force is acquired from a relation between a speed ratio (e) and the capacity coefficient C previously stored according to the power generating state of the engine 9. The capacity coefficient C according to the power generating state of the engine 9 is acquired, thereby the operating point of the engine 9 is immediately brought to the so-called torque spot area and the power performance of the vehicle is sufficiently improved.
