PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an autofocus system that can set a predetermined subject as an automatically tracking subject as a target of AF while reproducing the zooming and focusing to preset position. SOLUTION: In the tracking device 16, the zoom and focus preset positions are registered according to pattern data of a face of a person set as the tracking target. When a shot switch 114b is turned on, the zooming and the focusing are set to the preset position and also the face image of the person whose pattern data is registered is set to the tracking target which is tracked as the target of AF.
