PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic developing apparatus for a lithographic printing plate, the apparatus having superior maintainability and capable of producing a high-quality lithographic printing plate. SOLUTION: The automatic developing apparatus 2 for the lithographic printing plate includes: a developing part 6 where a lithographic printing plate precursor 4 having an imagewise exposed image recording layer on a support is brought into contact with a developer to develop the lithographic printing plate 4; and a drying part 10 where the printing plate precursor 4 with the developer adhering thereto is dried. The drying part 10 is disposed in an immediately downstream side of the developing part 6, a path line of the lithographic printing plate precursor 4 from an outlet of the developing part 6 to a conveyor roller 38a conveying the plate 4 in the drying part 10 is in the same direction as a feeding direction from the outlet of the developing part 6, and the conveyor roller 38a is disposed at a position where the lithographic printing plate precursor 4 has dried.
