<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crown cage capable of reducing indentation force required to push a ball into a pocket. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A plurality of pockets 7a and 7b which is opened on one side in an axis direction is formed in a circumferential direction to retain a plurality of balls 3 of a ball bearing so as to be freely rolled. When the plurality of balls 3 is passed through the gap of the opening end of the pockets 7a and 7b in the axis direction and pushed into the pockets 7a and 7b, the gap of the opening end is elastically flared by the balls 3.
