<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rail fastener easily installable and can reduce noise by suppressing the noise generated when a rail is laterally vibrated. Ž<P>SOLUTION: When a fitting member 2 is attached to a support body S with a mounting member 3 with the fitting member 2 suitable for a rail bottom section R<SB>2</SB>and a rail front section R<SB>3</SB>, the rail R is firmly secured to the support body S. Since the vertical and lateral vibration of the rail R generated when a wheel W passes on the rail R is suppressed, the rolling noise generated from the rail R is reduced. Also, a pressing member 4 is secured to the fitting member 2 with a fastening member 6 with the fitting member 2 pressed against the rail bottom section R<SB>2</SB>and the rail front section R<SB>3</SB>by the pressing member 4. Consequently, the fitting member 2 and the pressing member 4 are integrally secured to the rail R, the weight of the rail R is increased, and the vertical and lateral vibration of the rail R is suppressed.
