MANHOLE LIFT SUPPRESSING DEVICE

<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain the passage of an emergency vehicle from becoming difficult due to the lift of the manhole during earthquakes. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A bottom plate 11 of the manhole 10 is preformed in such a shape that a diameter of the bottom plate 11 is larger than an outside diameter of the manhole 10; and a weight 1 heavy enough to suppress the lift of the manhole 10 is placed in a position not to interfere with a horizontal pipe 12, on the top surface of the overhanging portion of the bottom plate 11 overhanging horizontally from the outside diameter of the manhole 10. Thus, the manhole 10 is prevented from being lifted by the fluidization of sediment on ground during the earthquakes, and restrained from protruding onto the ground. Ž<P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT Ž
