PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piston section structure which is suited to secure sealing performance and slidability for a cylinder body in a piston section, and is optimal for expecting the improvement of versatility of a gas spring. SOLUTION: A piston ring 3 is formed from a resin sliding member, one end part 3a thereof is bent inside and is fitted a holding groove 22 more deeply formed on the end part of the bottom face in an annular groove 21 formed on the periphery of a piston body 2, meanwhile, the bottom face in the annular groove 21 formed on the periphery of the piston body 2 is continued to the holding groove 22 and is inclined toward an inner circumference surface in the axis direction of the cylinder body 1, and the periphery of another end part 3c of the piston ring 3 is brought into slidable contact with the inner circumference of the cylinder body 1 on the inclined bottom face in the annular groove 21.
