<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display control device capable of operating a liquid crystal display device with adequate power consumption by changing a frequency of a clock for image display, and to provide an electronic device. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display control device 10 (an LCD controller) controls image display of the liquid crystal display device 40 (LCD). The liquid crystal display control device 10 includes a clock generation part 100 for image display for generating the clock 12 for image display of the liquid crystal display device 40, and a clock frequency change control part 200 for determining whether the frequency of the clock 12 for image display is changed or not based on a predetermined signal received from a host CPU 20 or a set value of an internal register, and controlling to change the frequency of the clock 12 for image display during a time period in which the liquid crystal display device 40 does not display an image.
