<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coolant treatment apparatus for preventing deposition and retention of foreign matter in a clean reservoir. Ž<P>SOLUTION: Swarf and a coolant from a machine tool 2 are received by a dirty reservoir 10, and the coolant filtered through a filtration drum is received by a first coolant reservoir 20. The coolant is led into a second coolant reservoir 30 through a coupling path 40. The second coolant reservoir 30 is equipped with a pump 31 around the center in a plan view separate from peripheral walls to pump the coolant from the second coolant reservoir 30 and circulate it to the machine tool 2. A whirlpool occurs around the pump 31 in the second clean reservoir 30 to absorb the foreign matter in the reservoir, whereby the deposition and retention of the foreign matter in the second clean reservoir 30 can be deterred.
