<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an index capable of systematically and quantitatively determining various types of tubercles such as a nodular lesion in contact with the pleura and an isolated nodular lesion. <P>SOLUTION: A tubercle candidate region specification section 11 determines a nodular region included in an image indicating the interior of a subject, a contour circularity calculation section 12 finds a plurality of nodes constituting a polygonal line fitted with the contour of the nodal region, determines the position of a reference point, and calculates the degree of circularity by using areas of a plurality of regions determined based on the plurality of nodes and the reference point. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
