<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a component for a fuel cell that includes a plate such as a separator substrate or a separator and a porous body such as a metallic porous body or GDL, which have been integrated beforehand, thereby allowing improvement in workability during cell assembly and in the accuracy of the position of the porous body. <P>SOLUTION: The component for a fuel cell includes a combination of the plate, the porous body and the gasket, wherein the gasket adheres to or is impregnated to the plate and the porous body simultaneously with gasket formation; and the plate, the porous body and the gasket are integrated by adherence or impregnation. For example, the plate is a separator substrate having a shape without any groove, and the porous body is the metallic porous body composing the separator substrate as well as the separator.
