<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shaft driving device capable of reducing sounds and vibrations. <P>SOLUTION: Inside a final gear case provided in a power transmission system from a power unit to wheels, a shaft 67 of a pinion gear 66 engaged with a ring gear is extended forward and a spline 67a is provided in the periphery of the shaft 67. Besides, a spline 56c is provided in the inner circumferential surface of a cylindrical portion of a pinion joint 56b which makes up a receiving portion of a joint provided in the rear end of a driving shaft for transmitting power of the power unit to the pinion gear 66. Then, the spline 56c and the spline 67a of the pinion gear 66 are engaged with each other. An axial hole 67b is provided in the shaft 67 of the pinion gear 66 and a threaded portion 67c is provided in the bottom of the hole 67. The pinion joint 56b is fixed to the pinion gear 66 by a bolt 58 screwed into the threaded portion 67c.
