<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform positive light shielding at a peripheral part of a scintillator member in a radiation detector having the scintillator member. <P>SOLUTION: The peripheral part of the scintillator member 16 is held by a stepped structure 26 and a stepped structure 28. The stepped structure 26 and the stepped structure 28 are arranged with a packing 30. The packing 30 is formed in L-shaped or bent shape, and first and second projecting frames 40A, 40B are formed at a horizontal seal part 36. Positive light shielding on the under surface 16B side of the scintillator member 16 is achieved by them. A corner part of a vertical seal part 38 is crushed by a slope 26D to reliably prevent the entry of light from a clearance 110. A plurality of detecting units of such structure may be arranged to constitute a large area type radiation detector. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
